SUPRAPOWER Final Workshop

On 31 May 2017 SUPRAPOWER Project hold a final workshop that joined some of the most innovative initiatives in the field of superconducting generator for offshore wind. Around 50 people attended the workshop including the project team and representatives from some of the sector main players as: Gamesa, GE and SIEMENS; components manufactures as: Navantia, Schenider, Bosch, Ingeteam, Zigor, Antec; superconducting industry companies as: Columbus, Theva, Elytt, Leyvold and academia. The workshop facilitated the exchange of experiences between superconducting generator European initiatives and permitted to collect the expectations and concerns of the industry about this technology and the general needs of the sector for the coming years.
